We Need Volunteers!

We are very much in need of additional board members to round out the AYSO board of directors and help coordinate the coming season (including tournaments!  Even though AYSO is a fall sport, our board works year round to plan each season, register the kids, form the teams, work with the city on the fields, order uniforms and trophies, train other volunteers, etc...  If you want to help make the season successful, now is the time to start helping out!  See the volunteer page for more information or just signup online!

Sponsors!

We are also looking for organizations to sponsor teams.  For as little as $250 (we'll gladly accept more!) you get: a thank you plaque with a team picture to proudly display and, best of all, the satisfaction of knowing that they are helping kids with a great experience.  You can easily signup online to be a sponsor.

Did you Know?

Redwood City's AYSO program is the largest youth program in the city?  That 1400-1600 kids (1564 in 2002) play here every fall?   That it takes several hundred unpaid volunteers to run this program? Perhaps you'd like to come help out! Many volunteer positions are available and coaching or referee experience is not necessary!   Only through active volunteer participation can we create a positive and enjoyable environment for our children.

... is the key motto of Region 1 of the American Youth Soccer Organization. Our purpose is to operate a program where young people can learn to develop a positive self-image, self-confidence and other positive character traits through their interest and participation in soccer based on our six philosophies.
