Welcome to Redwood City AYSO, Region 1, located in Redwood City, California. We were founded in 1971 as part of the American Youth Soccer Organization (www.ayso.org). We are a recreational, youth soccer league run by volunteers that supports over 1300 athletes each year.
We offer the following soccer programs for children between the ages 3 to 18:
- Fall Recreational Program - a soccer season built on AYSO’s 6 core values knows as AYSO's 6 Philosophies:
- Everyone Plays
- Balanced Teams
- Open Registration
- Positive Coaching
- Good Sportsmanship
- Player Development
- Winter & Spring Select - The winter and spring Select programs provide a higher level of competition than the regular Fall recreational program. Top players from across the Fall program are invited to play on a competitive team against teams from neighboring cities in Area 2N and other Regions in the greater Bay Area.
-
EPIC soccer (formerly VIP) - One of AYSO’s core values is that “Everyone Plays.” In this spirit, we’re proud to offer our EPIC soccer program for kids with special needs.
Region 1 (Redwood City) is part of Area N within Section 2.
Area 2/N consists of the following area with whom we compete at the older ages (12U, 14U, 16U and 19U).
